In It To End It: Our Plan to End the HIV Epidemic in Connecticut

In 2019, the New Haven/Fairfield Counties Ryan White Part A Program was one of just ten jurisdictions to be awarded HRSA funding to develop a comprehensive, community-driven plan to end the local HIV epidemic.

To ensure all of the major metropolitan areas in Connecticut were represented in the planning process, the Greater Hartford Ryan White Part A Program was invited to collaborate. Planning activities began On November 1, 2019. The final plan will be completed and submitted to HRSA by June 30, 2021.

Ending the HIV Epidemic: A Plan for America Fact Sheet: HHS is proposing a once-in-a-generation opportunity to eliminate new HIV infections in our nation. The multi-year program will infuse 48 counties, Washington, D.C., San Juan, Puerto Rico, as well as 7 states that have a substantial rural HIV burden with the additional expertise, technology, and resources needed to end the HIV epidemic in the United States.
